Tourism Bureau estimates Fahrenheit fan meeting will attract 4000 people to come to Taiwan to pursue their idols

February 14, 2009. Central News Agency (Taiwan). Idol group Fahrenheit’s international fans meeting on the 15th of February, the Ministry of Transport and Tourism Bureau estimate that 4000-4200 fans from Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia will create tourism revenue of 150 million TWD.

Following idol group F4’s fan meeting, the Tourism Bureau once again will hold a large-scale fan meeting in the National Taiwan University stadium. Inviting fans to visit Taiwan, the Tourism Bureau also planned to appoint Fahrenheit as tourism guides for one day.

The Tourism Bureau analyzed that both F4 and Fahrenheit have numerous fans from Japan and South Korea, but the difference is that F4 has a lot of “housewife”-type fans while Fahrenheit has mostly young fans.

International Tourism Bureau chief Liu Xi Lin indicated that half of the “Wish to see you in Taiwan – Fahrenheit international fan meeting” admission tickets will come from Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
