090909 is a special day for me... It's my mum's 7th death anniversary. Sigh, time really flies and never could I imagine 7 years has lapsed!

During the past 7 years, I've grown up and became a strong person and due of my mum's influence in me, I've always told myself to remember what she has taught me and never to disobey any of her teachings... I would like to be someone she hoped I will become and most important of all, I want her to rest in peace.

Approaching 30 Years of age, I could feel myself being protected by my mum each and every single day and I know whatever difficulties I might face in the future, she will always be with me and be my SUPER guardian angel.

Ma will always be my never-ending driven power...

Guess lots of you have been waiting for me to update my blog...

Well, it's be the first time having no instinct on what to write!

Honestly, there are many things going round my head recently... perhaps it's due to too much ups and downs recently...

Really happy that I've managed to overcome the big challenges I've faced in the 14 blades filming process...

And like everyone else... Stressed over issues encountered in work/personal life and...

Of course, very sad over the 88 disaster in Taiwan!

In life, we can be very happy now but the next minute, we can be extremely sad... Sigh, 做人真的不容易! I have been thinking about life and... it's really full of uncertainty! Imagine, if you happened to be one of the victims in the disaster? Or perhaps, you have lost someone you love or even perhaps you are no longer alive now! Isn't it scary?

Sometimes, we do regret when we don't cherish things we still have but regretting makes us change the way you look at things in our future! You either lose hope in life or you CHERISH more in life and I always believe it's never too late to realise our faults, change and CHERISH!

I've experienced few huge life-changing experiences before my showbiz career and during this point of time, I also get to experience things in which most people can never fully understand or get to experience at all! Life is unbelievable for me and through all these, 我覺得我成長了比很多人更快 and I would love to share all my experiences with people whom I love and hope we can truly 成長 together :-) of course all of us don't share the same vision but I insist to share what I've learnt which some of could take into consideration... haha! Sharing ideas/real life experiences, I can say, is part of my personality because there is nothing to lose and I always believe the more ideas you will be receiving, the more you will learn and the lesser mistakes you will make :-)

'Never Stop Learning' - One of Michael Jordan's principle in life is something that we should always keep in mind :-) Recently, many of my surrounding friends are unhappy - Few were betrayed by their friends and some were just caught up with bad luck! Well, being unhappy is not going to solve anything... Forget it and try not to follow the footsteps of the bad and learn how to prevent such things from happening again in the future... Well, I know things are easier said than done but only YOU can change the way YOU think and Live life to the FULLEST!

Like most people, I am not as perfect as what you guys think. There are also times when I get really mad, stressed, pressured and upset but the greatest part of all is I am able to overcome it all coz... Being happy and seeing the people around me happy is what life is all about... 簡單就是快樂!I guess being optimistic is not so bad after all :-)

To everyone who are facing difficulties in life, Stay strong and Never Lose Hope because YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Fahrenheit's fans donate 3.5tonnes' worth of relief items

The passing of Typhoon Morakot is inarguably one of the worst disasters to hit Taiwan in the past 50 years. Celebrities from all over Asia including Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China are actively rallying the public for more donations to aid the suffering victims.

Taiwanese pop idol group, Fahrenheit, earnestly appealed to their fans for help and donations when they got wind of the devastating news. Inspired by their appeals, their appeals for help were met with an overwhelming response from their fans. Their generous donations were enough to fill three large lorries, with as much as 3.5tonnes of relief items donated over a course of just five days.

In response to the active donations made by their fans, band member Aaron Yan expressed, "There are many overseas fans who are unable to donate relief-items. They have been leaving messages on discussion boards in hopes that the company can help them with it. Actually, everyone can make donations to the Red Cross foundation or the World Vision organization."

Apart from taking time off to participate in the televised fundraiser event, the four-member group each bought 50 boxes of daily necessities for the affected Taiwanese citizens. The group also decided to donate the profits made from their Taipei concert to the relief fund.

"This fundraising activity has really touched me. I hope everyone can continue to make donations and help successfully rebuild the lives of these victims," said Jiro Wang. In appreciation for their fan's unyielding support, Fahrenheit promised to present fans with an exciting and spectacular concert for their Nanjing concert in the Olympic stadium on September 5.

Fitness Zone To Open New Gym In Serusop

Bandar Seri Begawan - Fitness Zone, one of the leading fitness centres in Brunei Darussalam, will open another branch in the commercial area of Serusop early next year.

This was revealed by the owner of Fitness Zone, Wu Chun, who has made a name of himself in the entertainment industry overseas.

Known for his passion for fitness and healthy lifestyle, Wu Chun said that he hopes to see more people in Brunei sweat it out in the gym. According to Wu Chun, who is one of the members of "Fahrenheit", the level of knowledge in fitness in the Sultanate is still lacking.

"People in places like Singapore or Hong Kong are so concerned about their fitness and health that they would even hit the gym during lunch time," he said.

Wu Chun is confident that with the opening of Fitness Zone's new branch in Serusop, the fitness centre will be able to educate more people about the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. He said that the new branch, which cost around $400,000 to build, will have a "new concept and theme" to cater to the taste of Bruneians.

Wu Chun said that Fitness Zone's new centre may officially open its doors to the public as early as January 2010. "If I have time, I may return to Brunei to officiate the opening ceremony," he said.

Wu Chun, who is currently in Brunei for a short holiday after wrapping up filming for his latest action movie, "AC14 Blades", in which he stars alongside well-known acting talents such as Donnie Yen, Zhao Wei and Qi Yuwu.

"14 Blades" is Wu Chun's second big screen movie after the much talked-about film, "Butterfly Lovers", in which he co-starred with Charlene Choi.

The new movie tells the story of a highly trained warrior from the late Ming Dynasty who is forced to fight his former comrades in order to protect the prosperity of the empire.

Wu Chun hopes to return to Brunei for the premiere of the new movie, which is scheduled to be released early next year. Fitness Zone opened its first branch in Brunei at The Mall in Gadong in 2004. Sports Carnival Held To Raise Funds For Special Children -10/August

Bandar Seri Begawan - Despite Brunei being a welfare-orientated country, the awareness of special-needs children still needs to be increased so that the public may be more understanding of their condition.

Brunei's leading health and fitness club, Fitness Zone, has launched a four-day charity sports carnival yesterday to raise funds for these children.

Having a younger brother, Fairul Azmi Hj Suhaimi, who is a down-syndrome child, Mohd Arif Fikri Hj Marzi highlighted that such children generally face challenges as they are "often misunderstood" by the public.

"Some people do talk negatively behind our backs and call him names, but I am not bothered because I know better," he said. "He is still family and we love him."

Special-needs children are "just like any other normal person", Mohd Arif said. In fact, these children may even be "more loving and caring" compared to other "so-called normal people".

'Although Fairul is only six, he tries to help around the house as much as he can such as sweeping the floor and washing the clothes," he said. "The only difference is that special children tend to be slower learners. That is all." Mohd Arif highlighted that the urgent need for families with special children is not monetary support but better facilities to help train these children.

"The biggest headache that we constantly face is trying to understand him through his gestures," he said. "I hope my brother will be able to speak one day (through proper training)." The primary school teacher also told The Brunei Times that the event is meaningful as it provides a platform for the public to discover more about special-needs children by mingling closely with them.

"Brunei may be a well-to-do country, but there are still people in the society who need our attention and help," said Wu Chun, the owner of Fitness Zone. He also commented that Brunei residents are generally compassionate and would love to help the
needy, but are often unaware of the means available to do so.

"Organising such public events is therefore important to give the public an opportunity to actually contribute to help make a difference," said Wu, who is also a singer and actor. "People with such capacity should collaborate together to organise such events in the future on a consistent basis."

Participant for the Fitness Zone charity programme Keeran Janin thinks that the special children are "in good hands" as Brunei residents are usually "well taken care of". Judging from the "visible support" observed at the event, he said, Bruneians are generally quite concerned about the welfare of these children.

The event, specially organised by the Association for Children with Special Needs (Kaca) and UNICEF, was attended by Sheikh Jamaluddin Sheikh Mohammed, the Director of Tourism in Brunei who was the guest of honour. Also attending the function was Mohd Jaffari Hj Mahadi, the head of the supervision division of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and other NCB officers.

Imperfections of a perfect lover, Wu Chun

Imperfection 1. Too Shy, can't even express his love

It's hard to imagine that Wu Chun's personality in private is quite shy. When he was young he played basketball and when he won, he was very shy to collect his award . The 1st time he went on stage to sing he was shaking all over. Being this shy even towards his family whom he loves dearly, he could not personally express his overflowing love! But love, some times is just missing a phrase " I love you!"

When his mother passed away, that was Wu Chun's most regretful thing in his entire life. Wu Chun will take incense sticks with him when visiting his mum, asking if he had a chance, what would he most want to say to his mum? Wu Chun bowed his head thinking, thinking whole heartedly he said "At the beginning I consoled my mum telling her she will get better, but in the end there was no way, if I could re-do it, right now I would say to her " I will become a useful person, tell her not to worry and relax!" to let her have no regrets or longing.....

Because his mother and also his close friend departed abruptly, Wu Chun's views on life changed : "Life is short, life is impermanent, all of a sudden it might be no more, disappearing, which makes me more appreciative of the things I have now." His mother's death made Wu Chun grow up over one night, also the relationship with his dad also grew closer.
